beatles
It was so hard for Kaesie to not buy everything in sight. However, when she found this one jacket, she didnt need anything else. I got this Led Zepplin hoody and contrary to what kaesie thinks, i love led zepplin and not just because they wrote songs about lord of the rings
Mathew Street
Ok. so, we were wandering around in Liverpool, trying to get back to the train station after the beatles museum and kaesie said we didnt need to go to the beatles places like strawberry fields and such, but i felt really guiltly about being in liverpool and not going to any actual beatles sights. But we just wanted to get back to the train, so we headed down a road that would avoid the construction we passed through before when we ran in the Hard Days Night Hotel. There was an information desk and i told kaesie to go run in to find out where mathew street was, since that was the only place kaesie really wanted to go. turns out, while kaesie was inside asking, I was standing under the street sign for mathew street. Sometimes, some things are just meant to be.....
Dining room
I thought this dining room was awesome, but then we saw Napoleons at the louve. Man that was amazing.
spoons
i dont know why, but people in europe like giving spoons as gifts a lot. they were in the louve, and the british museum and pemberley and edinburgh castle and sometimes even in peoples mouths. So of course, we needed to take pictures. I think my favorite is of one huge spoon that was given to Napoleon
lake
They didnt actually have the thing they were sitting on at the end of the lake or the lights along the water. What you guys are missing though, was this huge and I mean huge sculpture of a white naked baby on its side being held up by its thumb. Now, i can appreciate most types of art, probably better than most people, but that was horrible. and it ruined my view. speaking of views, i think that this is pointing away from the house, instead of towards it, so your saved from the hidious baby.
Dessert first
Luckily there were some empty beds to eat on. the bunks had tilted ceilings which look cool, but hurt the two times i smacked myself
food...yum.....
We havent been very good about eating (meaning we forget to sometimes). This was the first real meal we had in 5 days. We didnt go out to eat because everything costs twice as much for us. So we went down to a Mark and Spencers store and bought food. I didnt tell kaesie this, but the reason why i wanted to go into mark and spencers was because MR. BEAN (my mr. bean, sean bean that is) did a commercial for them a few years back. That was as close as I got to him in london :(
Kaesie and her curls....
and someones foot. The hostel that we stayed at in London was fantastic. We stayed in the attic in a 19 bed dorm. We had to climb through the bathroom to get to it.
Buddha
One nice thing about Europe, if someone says that they are a buddist, they are ACTUALLY FROM TIBET I hate it when people in the states say that they are buddist. almost 100 percent of the time they have no idea what they are talking about. it drives me nuts when people say that they believe in buddist ideals. you cant half way believe in it....argh.....
.....
I cant remember the name of this incarnation and it is driving me crazy. Never mind I looked it up. Shiva Nataraja. ***Shiva dances the cosmic dance of destruction on the body of the "dwarf of ignorance."*** it was one of my favorite indian gods.
eta; it kinda looks like he is sitting on someones head.

Sculpture
Europeans react so differently to nudity than americans. I dont find it taboo or uncomfortable because I go to an art school, but having a naked person in art or on the side of a building is fine. If it was in America, it would have probably been on the news for a week.
Reassembly of..something
I dont think the picture quite actually shows how amazing this is. It filled an entire room and was several stories high. It reminded me of the Winged Victory of Samothrace in the Louve. Although I think the Winged Victory is one of the most amazing and moving pieces of art Ive ever seen.
Rosetta Stone
10 seconds after getting into the Museum, I lost Kaesie. If youve never been there, it is a massive large building. It seemed larger than the Louve.
British Museum
Kaesie made me cry. But a nice policeman found her for me. Luckily because I was having a emotional girly panic attack
Wellington...memorial?
I dont know what to call it. also I cant find the apostrophe on the key board in Rome.
